When equipped, Guarding fires Beams from your shield for 8 seconds, dealing 150 damage per beam and increasing damage dealt on your next melee attack — the rune of sharp reflections. Best farm route: Fore-Feller Hewyl in Cogah hard mode — ring the bell at his arena after crafting and consuming The Cogah elixir (crafted from Agaric Mushrooms dropped by Agari). Hewyl is a world Agari boss with standard respawn timers, and Cogah mode increases both drop rate and enables unique rune drops. Alternate targets include Gruul Seeker Sontaro (Cogah), Sinecure-errant Gawth (Cogah), and Thrice-bound Impidh (Cogah) — all drop The Durglint on drop tables. Rotate between these four Cogah Agari targets to maximize kills per session while respecting respawn timers. No merchant sells this rune. Pair your Hewyl farm with Cogah mode Agari loops that also target Etheldred The Weaver or other Cogah-specific rune drops to make efficient use of each Cogah elixir session.
