Material hub
This hub lists every metal-class material in our catalog — from basic Scrap Iron to refined Moranite. Each card below matches one catalog row; sources come from catalog sync or Preludes 15 patch notes where no drop table is published.
Soulframe's metal economy runs on a three-tier scrap ladder. Tier one Scrap Iron pours from Dermak Undercity containers — barrels, baskets, crates, and basic chests each drop it. Efficiency is S-tier per catalog: a full Undercity container run returns enough iron for one to two brass refines, and Midrath overworld breakables provide passive drip while farming other materials.
Tier two Scrap Brass drops from Dermak officers, locked chests, Ode Strongboxes, and Collector Crates. Tuvalkane can also smelt Scrap Iron into Scrap Brass (250 Dracs per refine on common recipes) — stack iron during container loops and convert later in Nightfold.
Tier three Moranite is the azure crystal used in mid-to-high-tier weapon and pact forging. Primary route: the Kearnhold Southeast crypt Mockery loop plus adjacent sarcophagi — often paired with Sappheline farming. Cogah Agari boss pools and Collector Crates are verified supplements. The Avakot travelling merchant also sells Moranite for 1,500 Dracs when stocked.
Dermak Undercity is the most efficient metal container loop in the current Preludes 15 catalog. Break every destructible — barrels, baskets, crates, pots — and open every basic chest. Scrap Iron is the primary drop; Scrap Brass and the occasional Moranite appear in lower quantities.
Pair Dermak Undercity runs with Dracs farming — containers drop both coins and scrap simultaneously. Use the Dermak Undercity guide for map layout, then Farm Planner to project how many scrap units tonight's forge queue needs.
Collector Crates scattered across Midrath, Glades, and Undercity maps drop from the full scrap ladder: Scrap Iron, Scrap Brass, and Moranite from the same crate pool. They are not farmed in isolation — sweep them as you pass while running scrap-iron container loops or quest routes.
Catalog does not assign a per-crate drop rate. Treat each crate as a bonus roll on top of your primary container haul.
Use the category filter and search on this page to jump to metal-class item cards. For boss-linked routes like Cogah Moranite, cross-check the Boss hub — Preludes 15 hotfixes merged several boss reward pools and drop tables may have shifted.
Open each metal item page for full dropFrom, map notes, and efficiency tables. The Dracs item page and Dermak Undercity guide are cross-linked — container loops return coins plus scrap in a single run. Use Farm Planner to calculate total metal counts for your weapon or pact recipe before you commit a farm night.
If a source disagrees with your session, check lastVerified and verified on the item row. Report drift via site feedback so sync_items_from_wiki.py can re-check catalog tables.
The scrap metal chain follows a three-tier refine loop: Scrap Iron (basic containers and Dermak Undercity breakables) → Scrap Brass (Dermak officers and higher chests) → Moranite (Kearnhold crypt Mockery loop plus Cogah Agari). All three are verified:true with June 2026 wiki sync. Tuvalkane smelting upgrades one tier to the next — plan your container runs with Farm Planner to hit the count you need. Open each item page for full dropFrom lines and efficiency tables.
