Falx
Long Blades · Courage · Uncommon
Falx is an Uncommon Sinecure arcblade (cleaver-style Long Blade) requiring 12 Courage, valued for its wide sweep attacks and solid 54 base ATK with 34 stagger and 5% smite chance. Farm its two fragments primarily from The Organ; Flayed Reaper and Sinecure-zone containers provide supplementary whole-weapon preview routes. Container drops include Barrels, Baskets, Crates, and Polearm Racks. Craft at Tuvalkane with Ode Graphite, Scrap Brass, and Ichor (10h). Purchase from Avakot for 220 Dracs. The Falx serves as the upgrade from Vetch and bridges to Marrow's Bane (Rare, 21 Courage) for dedicated Courage builds. Compared to Stultin (53 ATK, 16 Courage), Falx offers a lower virtue gate at 12 Courage with nearly identical damage output. The three spire studs on the blade — originally a manufacturing defect where molten metal seeped from injection points — became the weapon's signature strength. Effective against grouped enemies due to cleaver-style sweep pattern.
Marrow's Bane is a Rare Long Blade cleaver requiring 21 Courage, forged from the claws of the great Vadagar Bear under Bromius's pact. With 54 base ATK, 40 stagger, and 5% smite, it is the highest stagger weapon among Courage cleavers in Preludes 15 — ideal for stun-locking bosses and exploiting charged attack windows. Farm 3 fragments from Vadagar Bear (a Bromius pact Omen beast encounter). Craft at Tuvalkane with Scrap Steel×15, Patch Leather×40, and Moranite×6. Purchase a copy from Wares of Zenith for 250 Arcs. Marrow's Bane is the endgame Courage cleaver that Stultin (53 ATK, 16 Courage) and Falx (54 ATK, 12 Courage) build toward. The five sharpened spires on the blade evoke the teeth of the Omen Bear itself, dripping with primal power. Pairs synergistically with Bromius pact abilities and Tethren melee bruiser builds that capitalize on 40 stagger for repeated knockdown loops. The lore describes it as a menacing cleaver wielded by the Arbearer Bromius, with a darkly humorous pact condition: protect the old roots yet to heal, or pick your teeth after a good meal. Essential for high-Courage builds targeting Omen beast graces and Neath'uns content.
