How to Get Scrap Steel
Historical community leads: Sword Racks, Polearm Racks, Collector Crates and Squawkers; Dermak Undercity and Fort Curlail appear in older route advice. The earlier mixed iron/steel bundle, siege relog reset, rack metal preference and most-efficient ranking have not been verified for the current patch. P15 HF13 community transcription says racks always drop resources and are slightly less common; it does not guarantee Scrap Steel, an amount or a respawn interval. The old Avakot listing of 150 Dracs for one Scrap Steel is historical community stock/price data; confirm current availability and price in the client.

Common metal scrap used in mid-tier weapon crafting, armour recipes, and equipment repairs. Best bulk farm: Sword Racks in Dermak Undercity — each rack yields a mixed drop of Scrap Iron and Scrap Steel, making it the community-staple dual-farm route. Fort Curlail siege loops provide additional weapon-rack density along walls and in rooms; relogging the siege resets rack spawns for repeated farming. Polearm Racks are a secondary source but skew heavily toward Scrap Brass rather than steel.
