Entering mid-game

Mid-game begins after joining a Faction (Enclave) following The Torment Stag. Your goals shift to Faction progression, unlocking Special Pacts, and farming materials for Tier 2 weapon crafting.

• Choose your Faction carefully — different Factions unlock different Pacts via their Favours shops
• Faction Standing is earned by completing Faction Tales (repeatable missions given by Faction NPCs)
• Pact upgrades unlock at Pact Levels 1, 5, and 10 — prioritise levelling your Pact through combat and quests

Priority order

1. Complete Faction Tales regularly to accumulate Faction Standing
2. Reach Tuvalkane Bond Level 3 — required to craft Pacts and higher-tier weapons
3. Farm Gossamer Quartz and Moranite from named enemies, dungeons, and Crypt of the Circade runs
4. Work toward unlocking your target Special Pact — Garren Rood and Orengall are the earliest available via story quests; Ode Tempest and Mora's Hand require Rank 5 Faction Standing
5. Complete The Waste Bear fable to unlock the Neath'uns dungeon and the Bromius Pact

Agari — respawning world bosses

Agari are named sub-bosses that respawn after a set cooldown and drop crafting materials including Agaric Mushrooms (used to craft The Cogah hard mode elixir). They appear in the open world and inside dungeons including the Neath'uns, Glades of Andurin, and Undercity of Dermak.

• Check the map for greyed-out Agari icons — this means the Agari is on cooldown and not yet respawned
• Agari inside the Neath'uns require completing The Waste Bear fable before they are accessible

Common mistakes

• Ignoring Faction Tales — Faction Standing is the primary mid-game progression gate; complete Tales consistently
• Not crafting with Tuvalkane — Bond progression requires active crafting; do not hoard materials without using them
• Skipping The Waste Bear fable — this unlocks the Neath'uns dungeon, the Bromius Pact, and Agari farming inside dungeons

What unlocks next

Reaching Rank 5 in your Faction unlocks the ability to purchase Special Pact recipes. Crafting a Special Pact marks the transition to late-game content and the full crafting tree.
