How to Beat Vadagar Stag
Phase overview
Dodge Body Drop; punish stagger. P16 adds unblockable attacks to Garren Rood and Vadagar Stag; the patch does not identify every affected move. Do not assume a full-block or full-parry strategy is safe.
Ataques y contraataques
| Attack | How to counter |
|---|---|
| Antler Swings | Dodge back or move away from swing arc. |
| Sweeping Kick | Jump or dodge sideways. |
| Body Drop | Dodge sideways — punish immediately after landing. |
~1 phase
Farm Value: Medium
Thrice Blessed Joineries from night corruption pools (no fixed Agari respawn timer on wiki—see Soulmap pools). Also 3-Star Votive tale finale.
Tips
- P16 unblockable moves: check the actual telegraph and dodge; individual newly affected attacks require client verification.
- Open with aggression — free damage before the first howl knockback
- Sits briefly before Body Drop shockwave — evacuate the slam radius immediately
- Orb projectiles are not blockable — dodge sideways, never try to parry
- Antler charge and stomp: stay on flanks or behind, punish the back during recovery
- Loot the tent chest on the left after the kill
- P16: Vadagar Agari remain briefly longer as dawn approaches; this is not an all-day spawn guarantee.
Recommended pacts
Recommended Pact: Garren Rood — Stagger tools (Bestone, Phantom Flock) open reliable damage windows on a stagger-susceptible boss
Recommended Pact: Tethren — Courage melee from the rear maximizes safe DPS between antler charges
Recommended stats
Mid-game stagger build; short blades or polearms. Night-only at corruption pools north of Mines of Borro.
