Keys & Access Tools

This hub lists four published key items in our catalog — Crypt Key, Cage Key, Kearnhold Key, and Mirifuir Key. Keys gate dungeons, forts, or one-time quest cages; most are consumed on use or drop from specific officers rather than random world loot.

We map the keys hub to catalog tool items whose slug ends with -key: Crypt Key, Cage Key, Kearnhold Key, and Mirifuir Key. Other tools (Arrows, Sap Tap, Synsylk Grappler, Thunderstone, Pensive's Quill) stay on the main items index — they are not access keys.

Crypt Key is consumed to enter the Crypt of the Circade. Catalog farmMethod: guaranteed first key from Pay Respects Sparrow's Tale Grave Digger step (verified:true). Steady supplements: Basic Chests in Glades, Midrath, and Undercity; Crypt Sarcophagi while farming gems; assorted Ode containers per dropFrom list.

Hotfix note in catalog: Crypt Keys no longer drop from dungeon Rare Chests. Foe drops (Sinecure knights, wardogs, sproutfolk) are listed but Avakot marks them extremely rare — do not rely on them for bulk keys.

Kearnhold Key grants the back entrance to Fort Kearnhold. Catalog source: Banneret Anara (verified:true, lastVerified 2026-06-19). Plan around the Kearnhold siege event chain rather than open-world RNG.

Mirifuir Key unlocks locked doors inside Fort Mirifuir. Catalog best route: Mirifuir Siege high-ranking Sinecure officers (verified:true). Siege windows use the three-hour cadence — separate from thirty-minute Agari timers on the Boss Progression page.

Cage Key frees Orengall's pups from Sinecure cages during the Orengall pact storyline. Catalog lists a single quest source (verified:true) — consumed on rescue, not a repeatable farm target.

If you are power-leveling Dracs or mats, prioritize Crypt Key loops instead; Cage Key is a one-time progression item.

Catalog dropFrom for Crypt Key includes Basic Chest rows in Glades, Midrath, and Undercity; Dendrit Chest in Midrath; Ode Chest and Ode Strongbox; Pigwen Skerry Chest; and Rovgot Ruins Common Chest. These are supplement channels after your guaranteed quest key — not equal drop rates.

Crypt Sarcophagus entries note that sarcophagi can drop keys while you farm Gossamer Quartz and Sappheline inside Circade. Community guides cite key return rates during gem nights; we do not hard-code percentages — verify per session and read the Crypt of the Circade guide for route order.

Kearnhold Key and Mirifuir Key are tied to siege event officers, not the Crypt Key container loop. Plan them on siege schedules (roughly three-hour windows in community references) and use Boss Progression to see whether you still need story unlocks before the fort chain.

Mixing siege key nights with Circade gem runs wastes different cooldowns — schedule Crypt Key farming on container-density nights and siege keys on event nights.
