Dermak Undercity Dungeon Guide

What is the Dermak Undercity?

The Dermak Undercity is Soulframe's earliest available dungeon, first encountered during The Torment Stag fable. Built from granite during the reign of Fenn Jotar, its tunnels run through much of Midrath and are now filled with Sinecure soldiers and Ode casters.

How to Unlock

Available from early game — no prerequisites beyond reaching the open world. First encountered automatically during The Torment Stag quest.

Entrances

Multiple well entrances across Midrath:

• North of Luminns
• Near the Tower of Pensives
• Near Mines of Borro
• Several others across Midrath

Ceiling Trap Mechanic

During The Torment Stag fable, the game teaches a ceiling trap mechanic in the first tight corridor: throw your weapon or use ranged shots at rope traps above enemy patrols to drop the trap and damage grouped enemies.

This mechanic applies throughout the Undercity — look up when entering narrow corridors.

What to Farm

• Scrap Iron — break containers and floating debris
• Dracs — open every container while learning the layout
• Weapon XP — efficient for early Pact and weapon rank

Tips

• Use Spectral Sight to spot interactable objects and hidden paths
• Bond with Wandering Souls at dungeon entrances for a temporary fourth Arcanic slot
• Break all containers for Dracs and scrap materials
• Follow your Sparrow to the final chest room

When a quest or door won't advance

Common Torment Stag / Dermak blockers reported on forums (verify against your quest log):
