Farming Basics

Material farming in Soulframe revolves around three sources: open-world gathering, dungeon chests, and enemy drops. Efficient farming means knowing which source is best for each material and planning routes that cover multiple nodes.

Ways to acquire materials: exploration chests, quest completion, enemy kills, breaking containers (barrels/crates), and purchasing from merchants. Start with the Gossamer Quartz and Moranite item pages for community catalog-verified drop tables; use Crypt of the Circade and Dermak Undercity guides for dungeon loops.

Crafting takes real time: weapons and upgrades at Tuvalkane (and Oden Tempering at the Nightfold forge) queue in the background — start a craft before you leave for a Crypt or Agari loop. Community route: the Koga full-boss loop

A community speed-run circuit chaining the major bosses in one pass (community-tested route, source video; boss names cross-checked against this site's catalog where possible):

1. Gruul Seeker Ruthos farming spot — start at the Wevetseed fast-travel under the tree.
2. Optional: blessed meetings — hit the two nearby meeting points on the way (see the blessed meetings section).
3. Vadagar Bear / Vadagar Stag — the world-boss duo (fragment drops for Marrow's Bane / Gathannan).
4. Glades of Andarin — gather quenched acid roots along the way.
5. Kill the Flayed Reaper, then use its teleport to hop onward.
6. The Neathuuns — grab the orange eggs for Webwood Sap and take down Gourdo.
7. The five-boss cluster on the left — Knell Knight, Etheldred The Weaver, Kabocha, Thrice-Bound Impidh, plus one more the community transcribes as "Tinure Erand the Goth" (unverified transcription).
8. Loop back to Ruthos and repeat.

Optional extensions (same community route): a siege → Discharged Nimrod → the corrupted beast (community name; likely the Vadagar corrupted variant) → Crypt of the Circade → Dermak Undersity, whose chests drop Dewelion, Marrow's Bane, Gathannan, and more.

Survival build pointer for the loop (community)

If the loop chews you up, the same farmer's survival baseline (community build advice, Koga-oriented — totem names are transcription-corrected to site spellings): run Tethren (Wild Tethren if unlocked, otherwise a Courage-focused Envoy — "Courage over Spirit" allocation); skill nodes rooted (stagger resistance), wingspan (cheat death), and last stand → Physic Conqueror (heal on kill); totems Binky Kick + Hair Haunt + Heal Prings + Dagger Dredge (video transcriptions "Brinky Kick / Hair Hams / heal prince / Double Dredge" — corrected per three-way corroboration). Compare with the Tethren spirit nuker for the opposite (burst) playstyle.

Blessed meetings — the 24-hour Ancestor choosings

Blessed meetings (community name) happen once every 24 hours — you choose one Ancestor's blessing, and once you've met one that day, no more spawn. Known picks (community-tested, single source — Ancestor names are transcriptions):

Normal-mode route supplement (community): when not running the Koga loop, rotate fables + Agari bosses + faction rewards (faction materials like Moranite, Sappheline, River Pearls) and check Collector spawns (~every 3 hours) — factions also sell exclusive armour and weapons.

What to stockpile before P16

(Community strategy — the Preludes 16 preview covers the Temper crafting rework behind it.)

• Judge drops by quality and Temper count only — don't fuss over which specific Tempers a drop has. Once P16's bundle mechanic lands, lower-quality weapons can be bundled up to Legendary, unlocking their Tempers for Tuvalkane's learning system.
• Pickup rule of thumb (community): fewer than 2 Tempers → dismantle on-site without picking up; 3 or more → pick up and stockpile. Officer/Military Temper counts vary — check the ground preview before deciding.

Soulframe has three common metal scraps (no separate “Scrap Copper” item on community catalog). All three list Avakot merchant — 150 Dracs, qty 1 on community catalog (Preludes 15).

Hotfix 13 (Jul 23): Weapon Racks (Sword/Polearm) now always drop resources — official notes say respawn frequency is slightly lower. In parties, only the player who interacts with a rack sees the drop (multiplayer co-op).

Farm Lampyrites from sieges (Mirifuir, Kearnhold, Curlail, Turret Jotar), Cogah Agari kills, and dungeon Rare Chests — Hotfix 8 raised Lampyrite rates in Dermak Undercity, Rovgot (Fallen Skycastle), and Glades of Andurin.
