Preludes 14.5 changed 3 things that directly affect your existing build.

Virtue System Rework (most important)

Virtue Prisms have been removed and replaced with a Virtue Lith free-allocation system. Your existing Virtue setup is now invalid and needs to be reallocated. Virtue Lith drops from Agari and Cogah Bosses, with a batch reward from main story completion. Recommendation: bank all your Lith until you've decided on the current-meta build.

Temper Weapon System

Preludes 14.5 introduced the Temper system: weapons now drop with augmented properties — Heavy Attack damage, Stagger, Voltaic Damage, and more. Your existing weapons have no Temper properties; it's worth farming replacements. New weapon Orst-III (Heavy Mace) is now available, dropping from Sinecure Errant-Gawth and mace-wielding Bannerettes.

Greatsword Renamed to Heavy

The Greatsword weapon type has been renamed to Heavy. Orst-III belongs to the Heavy type and shares all Greatsword Combat Arts. If your build had Greatsword-specific Combat Arts unlocked, they now work on Orst-III directly.

Preludes 15: Gods & Ghosts

Announced at Devstream 15 (May 29) — preview only. Loot, trading, and Virtue systems may change when patch notes ship.

  • Loot rework — finished weapons drop with Tempers; Tuvalkane refines with Ingots
  • Player trading + in-game mailbox
  • Virtue Liths removed — allocate Courage / Spirit / Grace per loadout
  • Totem rework tied to Virtues; Sieges get random objectives and hazards
  • New weapons Veilk, Ilverac, Vrusht-IX; enemies like Mendicant Reinbreaker
