Soulframe Inventory Capacity Guide — 350 Slots & Hotfix 15 Rules
- Cap: 350 Inventory Capacity — 50 base + 300 purchasable from Zenith's Wares with Arcs (official Hotfix 15 wording).
- Exempt since Hotfix 15: Fable direct grants, Mini-Quest rewards, Zenith purchases, and the Circade set — world/siege pickups still use capacity.
- Slots: dismantle drops on-site without pickup; bag dismantling only at the Nightfold. Pick up Legendary/Sovereign even as duplicates (community consensus).

Quick answer — inventory capacity in Soulframe
TL;DR: Soulframe caps Inventory Capacity at 350 slots — 50 base + 300 purchasable with Arcs from Zenith's Wares. Since Hotfix 15 (Aug 19, 2026), Fable/mini-quest grants, Zenith purchases, and the Circade set no longer use capacity; world/siege drop pickups still do. Free slots by dismantling drops on-site, and judge each pickup by quality and Temper count.
- What is the cap? 350 total = 50 base + 300 purchasable from Zenith's Wares (official Hotfix 15 wording).
- Where do I buy slots? From Zenith — the camel vendor in the Nightfold — paid in Arcs. See Zenith Noble weapon rotation.
- What's free now? Hotfix 15 exempts Fable direct grants, Mini-Quest rewards, Zenith's Wares purchases, and the Crypt of the Circade set — see the exemption list below.
- Known bug? Players within 50 slots of the cap cannot buy the remaining capacity — the official target for a fix is Preludes 16 (not fixed yet).
How capacity works: 50 base + 300 purchasable
The official Hotfix 15 notes define the maximum as 350 Inventory Capacity — "50 base + 300 purchasable" from Zenith's Wares.
- Base 50: your Envoy starts with 50 slots of capacity. Community note: your initial equipment already occupies some of those slots, so your effective free space on day one is lower than 50 (community-sourced — check your HUD).
- Purchasable 300: bought from Zenith (the camel NPC at the Nightfold) in Arcs, up to the 350 cap. Arc income basics: farming routes.
- What still uses capacity: weapons, armour, and Pacts picked up as world/siege drops — the client warns before pickup when storage is full. Duplicates you keep "just in case" are the usual culprit.
What no longer takes up capacity (Hotfix 15, August 2026)
Official forum post 2026-08-19 — Hotfix 15, topic #14922 (Preludes 15 notes — Hotfix 15):
| Source | Uses capacity? |
|---|---|
| Fables — direct grants of weapons/armour/Pacts (not Fragments or craftables) | No — exempted in HF15 |
| Mini-Quests rewards | No — exempted in HF15 |
| Zenith's Wares purchases | No — exempted in HF15 |
| Crypt of the Circade Set | No — exempted in HF15; duplicate acquisitions fixed and existing duplicates removed from accounts |
| Premium / Founders purchases | Exemption announced — official wording is "will take effect at a later date", so not live yet: Founders purchases still occupy capacity for now |
| World / siege drop pickups | Yes — still require free capacity |
Two related fixes shipped in the same hotfix:
- Tuvalkane's station could fail to appear after completing The Steelsinger Fable when your inventory was at maximum capacity — fixed. See unlocking Tuvalkane.
- Crypt of the Circade duplicates were removed from player accounts, and the set (dungeon guide) no longer counts against capacity.
Known issue: the 350 purchase bug (official target — Preludes 16)
Players within 50 slots of the 350 cap cannot buy the remaining capacity from Zenith's Wares — the purchase is blocked before you reach the maximum. This is not fixed yet: the official Hotfix 15 notes state the fix is targeted for Preludes 16 ("we're working towards getting this fixed with Preludes 16"). Until then:
- Buy capacity early and in increments — don't leave a large block of slots for last.
- If you're near the cap, expect the final purchases to be blocked; free slots by dismantling instead.
Dismantle rules: two ways to free slots
You can dismantle in two places, and the rules differ (community-sourced, consistent with the official Nightfold crafting flow):
- On-site (world/siege drops): dismantle a drop where it lies, without picking it up — the freed decision costs zero capacity. Use this for anything you only want materials from.
- In your bag: dismantling picked-up items is only possible at the Nightfold (Tuvalkane's forge station). Plan a Nightfold trip when your bag fills mid-run. See unlocking Tuvalkane.
Pickup decisions — the quality chain (community consensus)
Drop quality follows a chain (community-compiled; note this is the drop quality ladder — distinct from the Stock/Noble migration labels for pre-P15 gear, see Chordstone refining):
Military → Officer → Noble → Sovereign → Legendary
Community consensus on what to pick up (three independent community sources agree — treat as strong guidance, verify in-game):
- Legendary — always pick up, even duplicates. Legendary is the final refinement stage where Tempers become customizable; every copy has long-term value.
- Sovereign — pick up even if you own one. It is a single refine step from Legendary, and refining an existing Sovereign copy is cheaper in materials than starting lower.
- By Temper count: fewer than 2 Tempers → dismantle on-site; 3 or more → worth the slot to stockpile (Temper counts on Officer/Military drops vary).
- Dismantle threshold: Noble and above dismantle into Lampyrites; Officer and below only give scrap — another reason to spend slots on the top of the chain.
- P16 prep (unofficial community advice): with the officially announced (not yet live) Temper crafting rework — Tuvalkane learning Tempers from dismantles — quality drops and multi-Temper weapons are worth stockpiling now. Judge drops by quality + Temper count, not by the specific Tempers. See the Preludes 16 preview.
Vendor tip (community)
- Avakot's Gots rule of thumb (community view): stock priced below ~50 Dracs is worth buying out — cheap vendor goods from the travelling merchant cost fewer slots than the farming time they save. Verify current stock and prices in-game.
Management tips (community)
A session-shaped triage routine, assembled from the community-sourced rules on this page (deeper video-transcribed routines will be appended as transcripts land):
- Before you leave: check capacity headroom — keep 10–20 free slots before sieges or dungeon loops; buy Zenith capacity early and in increments (the 350 purchase bug bites the last stretch).
- On every drop: judge by quality chain first, Temper count second — Legendary/Sovereign always picked up, 3+ Tempers worth a slot, <2 Tempers dismantled on-site without pickup (pickup rules).
- Bag full mid-run: don't return early — you can dismantle bag items only at the Nightfold, so finish the loop and make one forge trip (dismantle rules).
- Passing a merchant: Avakot stock below ~50 Dracs is worth buying out (community rule of thumb); Rare armour backups at 230–245 Dracs are duplicate top-ups, not bargains.
- P16 horizon: stockpile by quality + Temper count, ignore specific Tempers — the bundle rework will refine them up (see what to stockpile).
More hands-on routines (loadout-era hoarding, duplicate trading flows) to be appended when the pending community video transcripts are logged.
FAQ
| Question | Answer |
|---|---|
| Can I exceed 350 slots? | No — 350 (50 base + 300 purchasable) is the current maximum per the official Hotfix 15 notes. |
| Do Zenith purchases use capacity? | No — since Hotfix 15, items bought from Zenith's Wares no longer take up Inventory Capacity. |
| Is the 350 purchase bug fixed? | Not yet. Players within 50 slots of the cap cannot buy the remaining capacity; the official target for the fix is Preludes 16. |
| Do Founders/premium purchases use capacity? | For now, yes — the retroactive exemption was announced with Hotfix 15 but takes effect "at a later date". |
| Where can I dismantle? | Drops can be dismantled on-site without picking them up; items already in your bag can only be dismantled at the Nightfold. |
| Should I pick up Sovereign duplicates? | Community consensus: yes — Sovereign is one refine step from Legendary and refining saves materials versus starting from a lower tier. |
| Do Fable rewards use capacity? | Direct grants (weapons/armour/Pacts) from Fables, Mini-Quests, and Zenith purchases no longer do — but Fragments and craftables still do. |
