Material Farming Routes

P16 HF4 chest rules (patch transcription; not tested in-game): Common and Rare Chests always drop resources. If eligible, Common Chests always drop Common and Uncommon resource tiers; Rare Chests always drop Uncommon and Rare tiers. This does not guarantee every named material; whether each tier is guaranteed separately in every chest still needs client checks. Common Chests no longer drop Dracs. Breakables have a reduced Drac chance, not zero. Dungeon Rare Chests also gained Hushed and Whispering Chordstones.

P16 HF4 regional resource pools

These columns describe item rarity, not interchangeable chest types. “Not listed” does not prove absence from all drops. The transcription's Silisyst spelling needs matching to the site's Silistyt item before data changes.

Patrol detours: Ode camps guarantee neither a Chest nor a Totem cage; Drones sometimes carry Rare Chests, and Bannerets roam more frequently. No fixed yields or spawn intervals are established. Older community source tables below remain historical leads where they conflict with these changes; do not use them to calculate guaranteed returns.

Data policy (Preludes 15): Drop tables and merchant prices follow community catalog as synced on our item pages. Weapon acquisition changed in P15 — most gear drops fully built with Tempers; see Preludes 15 notes. Verify routes in your client.

Quick Answer

• Gossamer Quartz: use the P16 HF4 Dermak Undercity Uncommon resource pool. P15 HF8 removed Quartz from Crypts in the Crypt of the Circade; the older sarcophagus recommendation and its reported rate need reconciliation before use. See Gossamer Quartz.
• Moranite / Sappheline: target Dermak chests for Moranite, Glades chests for Sappheline, and Kearnhold C-rank Sappheline rewards (P16). Mockery enemy drops are a separate Whisprig pool.
• Scrap & Dracs: Dermak Undercity container loops (community — verify); community catalog sells metals at 150 Dracs when he spawns.
• P15 weapons: most 1–2★ drop whole with Tempers — Refine with Chordstones; 3★ exceptions listed below.

Farming Basics

Material farming in Soulframe revolves around three sources: open-world gathering, dungeon chests, and enemy drops. Efficient farming means knowing which source is best for each material and planning routes that cover multiple nodes.

Ways to acquire materials include exploration chests, quest completion, enemy kills, breakables and merchants. The item pages retain historical community records alongside patch-transcribed updates; their old rates, vendor prices and route rankings are not client verification.

Using the Farm Planner

The English Farm Planner resolves material slugs before falling back to unique published item names, and uses the same resolved recipe for display and filtering. Currency and fragments appear once, separately from material collection progress. A listed target is not proof that its historical base-craft recipe is still available; check Craft versus Reforge, all ingredients and costs at Tuvalkane before farming. Updated source pools do not verify old recipe quantities. Conflicting records and unknown or historical sources are flagged; old best-route and rate claims are not shown as current recommendations.

Source boundaries: P15 community patch transcription (HF8 resource removals; HF10 Frond replacement; HF16 Mockery pool) and P16 community patch transcription (HF4 regional pools). These are community transcriptions, not official direct reads or client tests.

Community route: the Koga full-boss loop

A community speed-run circuit chaining the major bosses in one pass (community-tested route, source video; boss names cross-checked against this site's catalog where possible):

1. Gruul Seeker Ruthos farming spot — start at the Wevetseed fast-travel under the tree.
2. Optional: blessed meetings — hit the two nearby meeting points on the way (see the blessed meetings section).
3. Vadagar Bear / Vadagar Stag — the world-boss duo (fragment drops for Marrow's Bane / Gathannan).
4. Glades of Andarin — gather quenched acid roots along the way.
5. Kill the Flayed Reaper, then use its teleport to hop onward.
6. The Neathuuns — grab the orange eggs for Webwood Sap and take down Gourdo.
7. The five-boss cluster on the left — Knell Knight, Etheldred The Weaver, Kabocha, Thrice-Bound Impidh, plus one more the community transcribes as "Tinure Erand the Goth" (unverified transcription).
8. Loop back to Ruthos and repeat.

Optional extensions (same community route): a siege → Discharged Nimrod → the corrupted beast (community name; likely the Vadagar corrupted variant) → Crypt of the Circade → Dermak Undersity, whose chests drop Dewelion, Marrow's Bane, Gathannan, and more.

Survival build pointer for the loop (community)

If the loop chews you up, the same farmer's survival baseline (community build advice, Koga-oriented — totem names are transcription-corrected to site spellings): run Tethren (Wild Tethren if unlocked, otherwise a Courage-focused Envoy — "Courage over Spirit" allocation); skill nodes rooted (stagger resistance), wingspan (cheat death), and last stand → Physic Conqueror (heal on kill); totems Binky Kick + Hair Haunt + Heal Prings + Dagger Dredge (video transcriptions "Brinky Kick / Hair Hams / heal prince / Double Dredge" — corrected per three-way corroboration). Compare with the Tethren spirit nuker for the opposite (burst) playstyle.

Blessed meetings — the 24-hour Ancestor choosings

Blessed meetings (community name) happen once every 24 hours — you choose one Ancestor's blessing, and once you've met one that day, no more spawn. Known picks (community-tested, single source — Ancestor names are transcriptions):

Normal-mode route supplement (community): rotate fables, faction rewards and Collector routes. Keep Agari hunts separate: P15 HF8 removed Moranite, Sappheline, River Pearls and Petrified Ichor from both regular and Cogah Agari. For these materials, use the regional chest pools above or separately verified non-Agari sources.

What to keep for P16 Temper learning

The P16 patch transcription describes learning Tempers by dismantling weapons; this is not a client-tested retention guide.

Finish The Steelsinger with Tuvalkane present before dismantling donors; earlier dismantles are not retroactive. Each Temper requires 10 points (single instance 1, doubled instances 2). Learning does not require Tuvalkane Rank 3 or a Level 30 donor. Striking the target separately needs Tuvalkane Rank 3, Level 30, a learned applicable Temper and available Craftwork slots within type/Origin restrictions; Legendary is not required. Each Strike costs 1 Glow + 1 Amber + 1 Faer Lampyrite and cannot fail. P16 allows Client pickup dismantles and recently picked-up Inventory weapons before Nightfold; arbitrary older field Inventory permissions and Arsenal learning remain unknown. P16 renames Refine to Enhance Craftwork. Older Refine labels, star-tier weapon tables and community route rankings below are historical references, not current menu instructions or P16 efficiency measurements. Sources are Avakot's community P16 transcription and the retained P15 evidence, not direct official-forum reading or client testing.

• Check the actual Temper and your learning progress, alongside Craftwork and weapon type. Amped Tempers grant double learning progress; counting Tempers alone is not a reliable pickup rule.
• Temper Striking requires a level-30 weapon, not Legendary Craftwork; learned Tempers, compatible Origin/type and available slots still matter. Check the P16 guide before dismantling.

1. Guaranteed key: complete Pay Respects Sparrow's Tale — Grave Digger step (community catalog) — details on Crypt Key.
2. Supplement from Basic Chests, Crypt Sarcophagi, and overworld foes on the Crypt Key page — foe drops are extremely rare (community catalog).
3. Hotfix 4: Crypt Keys no longer drop from dungeon Rare Chests — do not rely on that route (see Crypt Key item page).
4. For Quartz, prioritize Dermak Undercity's patch-transcribed Uncommon pool. Do not spend Crypt Keys on the old Circade Quartz claim without checking the current loot pool.
5. Backup: community catalog when he spawns (150 Dracs per community catalog) or buy via Gossamer Quartz merchant row.

Suggested loop (community catalog-aligned — verify drops)

1. P16 chest route: enter Dermak Undercity and check the regional Moranite resource pool. No per-chest Moranite guarantee or measured hourly yield is established.
2. Timed: Fort Kearnhold siege (~3h) — ranked Moranite after burning the Skylantern.
3. Other historical leads: Collector Crates or Hark the Collector remain separate item-page leads; the P16 Glades resource table lists Sappheline, not Moranite.
4. Agari restriction: P15 HF8 removed Moranite, Sappheline, River Pearls and Petrified Ichor from regular and Cogah Agari. Do not route Agari for these materials.
5. Buy-out: community catalog 1,500 Dracs or Kith of Kings bundles (community catalog).

Soulframe has three common metal scraps (no separate “Scrap Copper” item on community catalog). All three list Avakot merchant — 150 Dracs, qty 1 on community catalog (Preludes 15).

Hotfix 13 (Jul 23), community patch transcription: Weapon Racks now always drop resources and are slightly less common. This does not establish a respawn interval or guarantee a particular metal. Party weapon-drop visibility is separate (multiplayer co-op); the transcription is not an official direct read or client test.

Live in Preludes 15: Most 1-star and 2-star weapons drop fully built from enemies, chests, and activities — preview Craftwork and Tempers before pickup. 3-star paths split: Marrow's Bane, Gathannan, etc. still use fragments → craft at Tuvalkane; Purity drops whole from Mendicant King, then Reforge (instant). Forged results get random Craftwork. Refine favourites with Chordstones (farm Lampyrites from sieges, Cogah, chests). See Preludes 15 notes.

Lampyrite → Chordstone → Refine loop

The historical Lampyrite routes include sieges, Cogah Agari and Dungeon Rare Chests; the P15 Hotfix 8 rate changes do not establish current yields. P16 HF4 also adds Hushed and Whispering Chordstones directly to Dungeon Rare Chests. Cast Chordstones as needed, then improve a keeper through Enhance Craftwork, the renamed Refine tab. Reserve separate Lampyrites for Strike costs instead of spending them all on quality. Walkthrough: Chordstone refining. Ode'n Tempering is a separate service; the older Oden & Tempering route is not proof of a P16 replacement for Striking.

• Weapons level to 30, unlocking Combat Art points

1. Use the Agari Timer for 30 min overworld/dungeon Agari only
2. Gather ore nodes and break containers while traveling between spawns
3. Coordinate co-op roles and pickups; no P16 party speedup is measured here. Chest/rack visibility, Client pickup dismantling and Cogah scaling are separate rules, not a guarantee of shared loot or faster farming
4. Pair siege loops when Agari rows are on cooldown (see world-boss-agari)
