Neath'uns Dungeon Guide
What is the Neath'uns?
The Neath'uns is a mid-game cave dungeon in northeastern Midrath, unlocked after completing The Waste Bear fable. It introduces a unique purple rune mechanic and is home to two Agari sub-bosses.
How to Unlock
- Complete the Brewer of Hues quest and recruit Verminia
- Complete The Waste Bear fable
- Dungeon entrances open automatically after the fable concludes
The Waste Bear fable also unlocks the Bromius Pact — three new Arcanic abilities.
Entrances
Four known entrances (Avakot location names — no official portal IDs):
- Wevetwood Entrance — southeast of the Voicing Tree Council
- Sinklands Entrance — eastern Sinkland Depths
- Lake Moray Entrance — south of Moray, west side of the lake
- Central Forest Entrance — southeast of Oro's Well
Amber Deposits — Neathcap & Sap
Glowing Amber Deposits are destructible nodes scattered through the Neath'uns tunnels. Break them on every run for:

The Fungal Lord mini-quest needs 1 Neathcap (plus Jaden Drop and Toe of Ode) — not a bulk farm target, but a common reason players search this route.
Purple Rune Mechanic
Purple runes appear on walls throughout the dungeon. Hit them with ranged attacks to:
- Release water flows
- Grow root bridges
- Open blocked paths forward
If you reach a gap you cannot cross, search nearby walls for a purple rune — there is almost always one nearby.

Tips
- Unlock Neath'uns after The Waste Bear before Agari rotation — Gourdo and Seachnall are dungeon Agari (30 min, Avakot)
- Ranged build or spells make Gourdo significantly easier
- Against Seachnall, watch floor webs and keep moving — standing still is fatal
