How Siege Gameplay Works in Soulframe
How Siege Gameplay Works in Soulframe
Sieges are open-world assaults on castles and forts. They overlap with Agari farming and Infamy progression.
Core loop (Avakot)
- Accept at a World Tree Votive Shrine or approach the fortress marker (Mirifuir, Fort Kearnhold, Fort Curlail, Turret Jotar).
- Clear objectives — Conductors, castellans, or P15 rotating hazards depending on the siege.
- Burn the Ode Skylantern (torch) on the tower — rewards drop after the lantern burns, not when the boss dies alone.
- Earn Infamy; retreating or dying costs Infamy (Avakot Sieges).
- ~3-hour cooldown between completions per siege (community + Avakot schedule — verify timers in-client).
Event pages
| Siege | Focus | |-------|--------| | Mirifuir | Weapon previews / fragments (Espadarte, Silistavf, Dewelion) | | Fort Kearnhold | Dewelion fragments, Everflame runes, Lampyrite | | Fort Curlail | Runes, Corrupt Onyx, Crypt Key — cannon gate puzzle | | Turret Jotar | P15 fourth siege — Lampyrite, Grinn, Unsula |
Tips
- Bring AOE for conductor packs; save burst for Skylantern phases.
- Cannons matter at Fort Curlail — load Bisculam Fodder and shell the gate first.
- Chain sieges with the recommended Agari farm route starting at Mirifuir.
- Between 3-hour siege windows, run Hark the Collector (~6-hour world event).
Warnings
- Full inventory & Faction Votives (Hotfix 9) — HF9 partially fixed this: Faction Votives should no longer fail when your bag is full, and Votive weapon rewards must be picked up manually from the ground. Leave weapon slots free before accepting a Votive; still preview and grab drops yourself.
- Gear loss after Siege — Community reports remain common: equipped weapons or bag items can disappear when a Siege ends or when you extract. Do not bring gear you cannot afford to lose; bank valuables in the Nightfold first.
- Inventory saves at Nightfold (Hotfix 1) — Pickups and dismantling only persist reliably after you return to the Nightfold hub. Open-world loot may vanish on disconnect or Siege exit until then.
- Dismantling outside Nightfold — HF1 temporarily disabled dismantling picked-up weapons outside the Nightfold while inventory-save issues were investigated. Even if re-enabled in a later patch, dismantle only after you are back in Nightfold.
See Preludes 15 notes for Hotfix 1–9 context.

Pair with faction standing — siege loot often feeds crafting goals.
Sudden objectives (Hotfix 4)
Preludes 15 sieges can spawn sudden objectives — extra tasks that appear mid-fight on top of conductors, castellans, and Skylantern phases.
Hotfix 4 (Jun 15): sudden objectives now show up later in the run so you can push the main siege first instead of getting pulled at the opening.
HUD: prompts use the top-left siege objective UI (P15 baseline). After HF4, the banner stays on screen longer — do not ignore it too quickly; check what new task appeared before you rotate.
Spirit Guide: when available, the Spirit Guide leads you toward the sudden objective (HF4). HF3–HF4 also tightened how closely it tracks the route — follow it if you are unsure where to go.
S-rank: you still earn top rank by finishing the objective set, not by wiping every enemy on the map (same as Preludes 15 (live) below). Sudden objectives count when they spawn.
Fort Kearnhold: HF4 added traversal shortcuts similar to other sieges — use them to reach late objectives faster.

Preludes 15 (live)
Sieges in P15 emphasize rotating objectives and hazards — you often earn S-rank by completing the objective set without wiping every enemy on the map.
