Pact Arts Renames in Preludes 15
Forestall · Stalwart · Physic
Quick Answer:
- Four Pact Arts were renamed in Preludes 15 — effects are unchanged, only labels shifted (see the table below).
- Arcana names (Courage, Spirit, Grace abilities) were not renamed, only passive Arts.
- Missing a passive after returning from P14.5? Check the Passive Arts section of the Pact menu in Nightfold first.
- Do not respec just because a name changed — verify the effect text before spending respec tokens.
What changed in Pact Arts (Preludes 15)
Several Pact Arts were renamed in Preludes 15 — their effects remain intact, but the in-game labels shifted. If you are returning from Preludes 14.5 or earlier and cannot find a passive in your Pact tree, consult this list before respeccing.
Renamed Pact Arts (P15 patch notes)
| Old name (P14.5) | New name (P15) | Pact line | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Swiftfoot | Forestall | Garren Rood | Mobility passive — same mechanic, renamed label |
| Unyielding | Stalwart | Tethren | Defense passive — behavior unchanged |
| Shadowstep | Glimmer | Sirin | Stealth passive — same proc condition |
| Bastion | Redoubt | Oscelda | Spirit shield passive — identical effect |
Additional Pact Arts may have shifted labels in subsequent hotfixes — check the individual Pact page for the current skill name and verify against your in-client Pact tree.
What did NOT change
- Arcana names (Courage, Spirit, Grace abilities) were not renamed in P15 — only passive Arts were relabelled.
- Pact unlock paths are unchanged from P14.5: Garren Rood still unlocks after Torment Stag, Ode Tempest from Ode'n gear progression.
- Virtue scaling formulas were not adjusted — the same Courage/Spirit/Grace ratios apply to each Pact's Arcanics.
How to check your Pact Arts
- Open the Pact menu in Nightfold (not the field equip screen — the full tree).
- Scroll to the Passive Arts section below your Arcanics.
- Compare the listed names against this guide and the individual Pact page on this site.
- If a passive name does not match either column, it may be a hotfix addition not yet catalogued — report it via site feedback.
Respec considerations
- Do not respec just because a passive has a new name. Verify the effect text matches before spending respec resources.
- If you respecced in P14.5 and now see unfamiliar labels, the point assignment is likely still correct — the system maps old passive IDs to new names automatically per community reports.
- Respec tokens are limited per Preludes cycle. Save them for actual build changes, not label updates.
